Elizabeth Powderham

I am the Project Linus Co-ordinator for South London and Surrey. Working with quilters from across the region, I provide quilts for seriously ill children in local hospitals, including the Royal Marsden Sutton and King's College Critical Care Unit, children being cared for in their own homes by community nurses and several Special Care Baby Units. It is so rewarding to see how much difference the simple gift of a quilt can make to a distressed child and their family. The demand for the quilts grows and grows as more hospitals become aware of our work.

If you have any time to spare to make a quilt for this charity supporting children in our local community I would love to hear from you. Also any donations of UFOs, orphan blocks, unwanted fabrics are greatly appreciated. Some quilters have actually used up their stash quilting for Linus and would appreciate fresh supplies

Away from Linus I love hand sewing and am working on an over papers hexagon quilt for the back of my sofa. At current rates of progress this might take some years :)
